Welcome to the brand new Shell LiveWIRE International Hall of Fame, the unique global platform showcasing some of the outstanding entrepreneurs that have benefited from LiveWIRE programmes around the world.
All of the businesses featured here are LiveWIRE award winners, and many of them have benefited from advice or training through the programme. They all have entrepreneurial star quality.
The 2008 inductees are a truly inspirational bunch, and prove that enterprise is flourishing in all corners of the globe. They include the first ever national LiveWIRE award winner from Scotland, who started off making lobster pots and now runs one of the largest marine supplies businesses in the UK. There’s also the largest online retailer of glasses in the world; a business whose beautifully simple product has revolutionised road safety in Indonesia; and, the only ceramics factory in Pakistan run by a woman.
The inductees to the inaugural Shell LiveWIRE International Hall of Fame for 2008 are:
